Peoples’ Universities Fourth World

People’s Universities are spaces where people from different social backgrounds can come together to meet, discuss, and share ideas. The basis of this kind of encounter is the recognition that the knowledge and experience of people living in poverty has value, and that creating a space where people can express themselves gives birth to new ideas and proposals.

From Rouyn-Noranda to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu to Montreal, more than a hundred people prepare togheter in small groups.  And more than 50 people representing their groups gather in Montreal to share their knowledge before bringing back what they learned to their group in region.
