Stop Poverty Campaign
In 2017 ATD Fourth World launched a global mobilization campaign to mark a milestone in its efforts to overcome poverty, to reach new people and communities, and to involve new partners, with the conviction that it is in acting together, and in partnership with people living in extreme poverty, that we can end poverty.
Launched on February 12, 2017, the day of the centenary of the birth of Joseph Wresinski, the campaign was also an opportunity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of ATD Fourth World and the 30th anniversary of the World Day for the Eradication of Extreme Poverty.
After ten months of online and on-the-ground events in more than 30 countries around the world, the campaign culminated with the celebration of October 17 in many countries around the world .
This campaign has reached hundreds of thousands of people around the world, with the active support of dozens of local, national and international organizations and has been able to breathe new life into this global movement to eliminate extreme poverty. .
Thanks to this worldwide mobilization, ATD Fourth World has received the support of more than twenty civil society partners, including the International Trade Union Confederation, Social Watch, the European Network Against Poverty, the Global Call for Action Against poverty and many more.
This movement to end extreme poverty has never seemed so strong and so present.

Over 2500 copies of this booklet have been printed. Concerts for the benefit of the cultural actions of ATD Fourth World were organized throughout the year in France, Ireland, Belgium, Guatemala, Canada, Central African Republic, Great Britain, United States, Switzerland, Luxembourg.
The music video “With my two hands, I can change the world” was performed with ATD Fourth World member artists from Haiti, Burkina Faso and Spain.
